“People don’t like change.” Can I please invite you to disagree with me?
I think one of the biggest problems in our society is that we repeat the gospel without questioning what we are singing.

(chatGPTs interpretation of the 4 seasons of innovation)
How about this: People love change. We all love change.
Most of us enjoy the four seasons. We love the blossoming spring after a crisp winter, and we look forward to bathing in the lake on a hot summer day. All of this is true, but nothing beats the colorful autumn, when the leaves dance in the air, changing their colors from green to shades of red. And then the first snowflakes, when men turn to boys for a few moments of joy. Walking on a road paved with fresh snow—that crunching sound: to me, that’s one of the most beautiful sounds.
And, of course, you’ll very rarely meet someone walking in shorts on a cold winter day in Berlin, just as I have never met anyone in a winter jacket on Kite Beach in Dubai. Even “people are having a hard time adapting to change” is highly questionable.
Even the very unspectacular new iPhone 16 caused queues around the stores on launch day. Are you excited when you step into your new car for the first time? And yes, people go on dating apps while they are still in a relationship.
Range, diversity, contrast—the English language has 63 synonyms for the word “variety.” German has even 194 synonyms for Abwechslung. Given that language is a subtle mirror of our desires, wishes, hopes, visions—apparently, change is not such a hated thing after all.
We know that fear is an instrument of power. I won’t go down that rabbit hole here.
I just wanted to remind you that you love change, too.
Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise (other people may have a different agenda than you).
